At KvT we are developing a methanol engine, based on the Perkins 1206 — partly because of its EGR system, which is a major advantage for methanol engines. On just my second day on the job, I worked through the wiring diagrams independently and started wiring the engine. Once that was done, I programmed the ECU together with a colleague and the engine was placed on our engine test bench, where I achieved a successful first start.
